I am honored to be the inaugural Executive Director for the Office of Innovation and Commercialization at the University of Texas, Permian Basin, where our mission is to unify and enrich all of the innovation and commercialization activities at UTPB through its education, research, and entrepreneurship programs and to serve as a focal point for more dynamic engagement with the community and industry. We work across the entire university and support students, staff, and faculty in their entrepreneurial endeavors and to facilitate interaction with the external community and industry partners. We have 4 primary activity sets: (1) Technology Transfer, (2) Startup Support, (3) Industry Collaboration, and (4) Product Development. More information on our office and team can be found here: www.utpb.edu/innovation

I am also the founder and president of Precision Technology Consulting, a freelance consulting company focused on providing technology commercialization services for two major industries: 1) technology-based corporate entities and 2) technology transfer offices.

I have previously worked in university technology transfer roles at the University of Houston, LSU, and UCLA and I am very active as a volunteer with AUTM on both the Essentials and Negotiations committees.

I received my MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and a BA in Physical Science from Southwestern University.
