Mark Scott is a seasoned professional with a diverse background spanning over 19 years in various industries. Born and raised in rural SE Colorado on a farm and a ranch, Mark was exposed to the value of hard work from an early age. This upbringing instilled in him a strong work ethic that continues to drive his success in both his personal and professional life.

Mark’s journey began with a passion for education. For over a decade, he served in public education, imparting his knowledge and molding young minds. His dedication and leadership extended into building administration and into coaching, where he guided and mentored athletes from youth football teams all the way up to the NCAA Division II level.

Due to fate and circumstance, Mark entered into the aerospace manufacturing industry where he excelled and honed his skills and expertise. He then transitioned into polymer manufacturing, gaining valuable insights into the world of materials and production processes from a global perspective. Additionally, he ventured into the natural gas drilling industry, business ownership, and public administration, further expanding his knowledge and experience across different sectors.

Despite his achievements in the private sector, education has always been paramount to Mark, and he places immense value on his academic journey. Graduating from a small rural school, he went on to attend Fort Hays State University, where he continued to pursue higher education while balancing the responsibilities of being a member of the football team. This experience instilled in him the importance of perseverance and determination.

Currently, Mark serves as the Dean of Manufacturing and Workforce Development at WSU Tech in Wichita, KS. His role allows him to combine his passion for education and his expertise in the manufacturing industry, shaping the future workforce and empowering students to thrive in their chosen careers.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mark has a great love for golf, which serves as a source of relaxation and enjoyment for him. He cherishes time spent on the golf course, relishing the challenges and camaraderie the sport offers.

Mark's personal life is equally fulfilling, as he is married to his wife, Michelle, and they are proud parents to six children. They are also blessed with five grandchildren, enriching their lives with love and joy.
