I believe education is a powerful tool for societal betterment, and I'm passionate about creating an engaging, hands-on learning environment that meets students where they are. Through direct interaction, diverse teaching methods, and Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs) in partnership with the Arkansas-based Curriculum for Undergraduate Research Experience (AR-CURE) and the Cell Biology Education Consortium (CBEC), I engage students in active learning that supports various learning styles and encourages critical thinking.

My undergraduate research laboratory focuses on oxidative stress, offering students hands-on experience in molecular biology and cancer research. This lab provides undergraduates with opportunities to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world scientific questions, equipping them with essential research skills.

Additionally, I collaborate with researchers at the University of Arkansas (UARK) in biopharmaceutical production, bringing the latest field insights into the classroom. Together, these experiences prepare students to conduct impactful, high-quality research that reflects industry advancements.

My ultimate goal is to enrich my students’ lives by broadening their horizons a
